Rev. Heather Rion Starr (she/her) is a 2005 graduate of Starr King School for the Ministry. With two decades of experience in ministry and an entire lifetime informed and inspired by Unitarian Universalism, Rev. Heather has a deep well of zest for this work. She has brought to UUSD a wealth of experience to draw upon, rich connections with dynamic colleagues in and beyond UUism, and much energy and enthusiasm for our congregation.

Previously Rev. Heather served as Co-Minister at the Unitarian Society of Hartford (CT) along with her spouse, Rev. Cathy Rion Starr (they/them). Rev. Heather also served as half-time Consulting Minister for the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Danbury, CT, and has also served and worked with UU congregations in Massachusetts, Oregon, Idaho, Minnesota, and D.C.

The Rion Starr family includes two children, Robin and Braden, and one dog (Dash). They are all enjoying life in Southern Delaware with its many opportunities for being involved, being outside, and being a part of a caring multigenerational community.
