Volunteering
There are lots of opportunities at UUSD to give of your time and talents, with the added benefit of getting to know us better. In addition, when you share your gifts, you will be nourished, not drained, and serving will become a spiritual practice. Opportunities as of January 2024.

Ongoing Volunteer Opportunities
- Join a committee.
- Teach a Children’s Faith Exploration class.
- Lead an adult education course.
- Sing in the choir.
- Become an Usher or Greeter on Sunday mornings.
- Become a Worship Associate on Sunday mornings.
- Join the Helping Hands team (part of our Pastoral Care program), providing occasional rides and food as needed.
- Play music on Sunday morning.
- Become a helper in our fundraising events — Craft Fair, Yard Sale, Auction, and special celebrations.
- Help maintain the gardens at UUSD.
- Join the Social and Environmental Justice Committee and work on justice issues.
- Work with Property Management to keep our building well maintained.
- Join the Communications team in editing UUSD’s publications , working on the website, or taking pictures of UUSD events.
