Our Share the Plate collection in both January and February will go to support Lighthouse for Broken Wings. Lighthouse is currently bearing the cost of housing 25 people (including 6 families) at the Red Mill Inn. Additionally, Lighthouse needs funds so they can provide food and other necessities to others housed at the Inn by DHS (which only provides some housing vouchers). There are an additional 45 people (including 20 families) on her wait list. Funds are needed as this non-profit organization works to provide critical shelter in our area to keep local families with children safe while they are experiencing homelessness. Once again this year, as costs of food and shelter rise there is even less financial assistance available.
