Our Office Administrator

Sandy joined UUSD as Office Administrator in September 2022. She began her administrative career in 1976 working for a variety of organizations, including a tractor trailer driver training school (1975 – 1977); in secretarial, word processing, and typesetting at the DuPont company’s Engineering Department from 1977 – 1992; in the insurance industry selling and training new hires to sell accidental death policies; and in the banking industry promoting balance transfers for Bank of America, both of which were part time positions between 1994 and 2002, while raising her daughters.

In 1992, Sandy left the DuPont Company to become a stay-at-home mom to her two daughters. In 1997, she accepted a part-time secretarial position in a small Methodist church until 2002. In 2002, she accepted a full-time position for the Department of Community Services in New Castle County Government. Sandy assisted with the planning and executing of the county’s annual special events until 2008, and, finally, retired from the New Castle County’s Land Use Department, Office of Code Enforcement, in 2021.

Sandy and her husband, John, live in Lewes. Their four adult daughters and three grandchildren all live in New Castle County. Sandy enjoys traveling, gardening, walking on the beach, and reading.
