Leadership Development Committee
Leadership Development is a Standing Committee authorized in the Bylaws of UUSD. Its members are elected at the Annual Meeting of the congregation in June.
What We Do
Leadership Development engages, connects, and supports UUSD members in becoming part of the volunteer and leadership life of our vibrant congregation. Our specific responsibilities include:
- Identifying potential committee members and those who want to volunteer to help with specific volunteer needs
- Managing the self-nomination process for electing members to the Board of Trustees and the Leadership Development Committee
- Coordinating leadership development activities to help identify and prepare members for leadership positions within UUSD.
Your Opportunity to Serve on the Board of Trustees or Leadership Development
At the Annual Meeting in June, the congregation will elect four members to serve on the Board of Trustees and three to five members for the Leadership Development Committee. Those elected will serve two-year terms from July 1 (year 1) through June 30 (year 2).
Self-Nomination Process
Members who are interested in serving on either the Board or Leadership Development must complete and submit a Self-Nomination Form for the group they are interested in and email it to LeadershipDeveloment@uussd.org by March 31. Your name will be placed on the ballot for the Annual Meeting in June.
