The Season of Invitation
Dec 8 @ 10:00 am – 11:00 am

Sunday, December 8, 10 a.m., “The Season of Invitation,” Rev. Heather Rion Starr: In these tumultuous times, we might more mindfully consider each outreach and invitation we extend. Who are you inviting into your home, into your life, this season? What ideas, spiritual teachings, and wisdom are you inviting into your soul-life? In this time of winter, of turning inward into furnace-warmed and fire-lit gatherings, we will investigate the idea of invitation. Who are we each inviting into our lives, and who are we inviting ourselves to be in the world? Our Fall New Member Ceremony will occur during the service today. Join us in celebrating our newest Members!

This candlelight ceremony honored the lives of transgender individuals who were tragically lost to violence over the past year.

Sharing Our Stories

Each of us at UUSD has a different story to tell about how we found a spiritual home here. A few of us are life-long UUs but most are not, having come from a variety of other religious backgrounds or from no particular place of faith. Whatever our journey, sharing the stories of the paths we took helps connect us to each other and to the shared journey we are now making.
