As we look ahead to family and communal gatherings in the days and weeks ahead, there will, inevitably, be food involved. How do you preserve the joys and memories of family gatherings around meals without feeling like you have to replicate (and consume) precisely those recipes forever? What cherished recipes have you made new? You are invited to bring a recipe to add to a congregational collection.

  • UUSD is requiring that only vaccinated individuals (who are eligible to be vaccinated against COVID) attend in-person services.
  • Please stay home and enjoy our livestream if you have a fever, any other symptoms of illness, or if it’s simply a better option for you.
  • Mask wearing is encouraged but not required.

Transgender Day of Remembrance Held at UUSD

On November 20, 2024, Sussex Pride hosted a solemn vigil at UUSD to mark Transgender Day of Remembrance. The event was co-organized by UUSD’s Social and Environmental Justice Committee. This candlelight ceremony honored the lives of transgender individuals who were tragically lost to violence over the past year.

Each of us at UUSD has a different story to tell about how we found a spiritual home here. A few of us are life-long UUs but most are not, having come from a variety of other religious backgrounds or from no particular place of faith. Whatever our journey, sharing the stories of the paths we took helps connect us to each other and to the shared journey we are now making.
