Sunday, April 7, 10 a.m., “Awakening the Spirit Within,” Julie Keefer, UUSD Director of Music Ministries: Struggling to find inspiration in your daily life? Feeling stuck in a rut or lacking motivation to pursue your dreams? Look no further than the sources of inspiration that surround you every day. From the beauty of nature to the kindness of strangers, there are countless opportunities to find inspiration in the world around us. Join us as we uncover the secrets to finding inspiration in our everyday lives.

Julie Keefer (she/her) is our Director of Music Ministries. She has a Master of Divinity from Chicago Theological Seminary. She is passionate about church leadership and is currently seeking ordination in the United Church of Christ. Julie is also Choral Director at Milford High School in Milford, DE

UUSD is requiring that only vaccinated individuals (who are eligible to be vaccinated against COVID) attend in-person services.
Please stay home and enjoy our livestream if you have a fever, any other symptoms of illness, or if it’s simply a better option for you.
Mask wearing is encouraged but not required.

Transforming Hearts Course

Called by some UU Ministers as “the single most transformative experience for UUs trying to become more understanding and supporting of the transgender, non-binary, and genderqueer people among us.”

Save the Date! UUSD’s Annual Auction

UUSD’s Annual Auction will kick off with a Rose Garden Gala potluck dinner on May 17. Dress in your finest and festive garb and create that one-of-a-kind hat for this special event. Online auction goes live on May 18!

The Dignity Back Pack Project Packing Event

Over 25 people showed up at UUSD to assemble 100 backpacks; the completed backpacks went to The Way Home, a transitional housing and support nonprofit for people leaving prison in Georgetown, for distribution to those in need upon their release.

Sharing Our Stories

Each of us at UUSD has a different story to tell about how we found a spiritual home here. A few of us are life-long UUs but most are not, having come from a variety of other religious backgrounds or from no particular place of faith. Whatever our journey, sharing the stories of the paths we took helps connect us to each other and to the shared journey we are now making.
