Our Share the Plate offering for April is for Sussex Preservation Coalition. UUSD is one of the Allied Groups supporting the Coalition. Their mission is to increase the effectiveness of groups and individuals working in Sussex County to preserve natural habitats, promote resilience, sustainability, and climate adaptation. Our donation will help with operating expenses (including communications, space rental, even organizing, etc.) incurred I’m fulfilling the Coalition’s mission of education, advocacy, and policy change. Their work addresses issues such as land use, water quality, and forest preservation. They are launching a Woodlands Preservation Project this spring. You can contribute throughout the month on the UUSD website at Donate for Share the Plate, or you can send a check to UUSD (30486 Lewes Georgetown Highway, Lewes, DE 19958) with Share the Plate in the memo line.
