“Rise Up & Call Her Name,” a Woman-honoring Journey into Global Earth-based Spiritualities is a beloved course from UUA and will be offered at UUSD starting January 16, 10 a.m.–noon in the sanctuary. Rise Up and Call Her Name builds on the foundation laid by the first Unitarian Universalist Association (UUA) program of studying ancient Goddess stories, Cakes for the Queen of Heaven. This 13-segment course, which will be offered once a month, is an invitation to “travel openly with the female divine” and explore images of the Goddess throughout the world. The course will be offered the third Tuesday of each month. The course is part of Adult Faith Exploration here at UUSD. The core facilitator is Kim Cook, a long-time Unitarian Universalist. The course is rich in experiential involvement. Participants will draw, sing, dance, and find new meaning to the study of the Goddess. A $25.00 fee for materials will be collected.

The deadline to register for the course is Sunday, January 14. There is a sign-up sheet in the Gathering Area. Contact r.lamothe@uussd.org to register or for more information
