Our Share the Plate offering in February is for The Teach a Person to Fish Society. Their mission is to feed our neighbors experiencing food insecurity with nutritious, ready-to-eat meals using ingredients from sustainable methods. Food is sourced from farms, grocers, volunteer gardens and local partners. The meals are delivered to Sussex County food pantries, community resource centers, the Springboard Collaborative Palette Village, Code Purple shelters as well as directly to individuals in need. They currently provide over 400 meals per month, double the number of deliveries from the prior year. Volunteer opportunities include meal prep, educators, garden hosts and/or caretakers.
