You can access our Sunday Service through the UUSD Facebook page starting at 10:00 a.m. Music for Gathering will start at 9:55 a.m.
Rev. Dr. Michelle Collins will lead the Sunday service, which will feature inspirational music by Julie Keefer, Director of Music Ministries, and readings and reflections by Rev. Michelle and members of the Worship Committee.
In-person Sunday Services are cancelled for the time being. Activities at UUSD have been impacted by the current COVID-19 pandemic. Please check the UUSD calendar to determine if activities have been rescheduled or will be taking place in alternative ways.
Your Board, Minister, and staff will continue working on contingency plans as we monitor the changing situation and will keep you updated as needed. UUSD will follow best practices recommended by health authorities, the UUA, and government. You will be kept informed of any changes and receive regular updates through email, Facebook, and the website page.
Remember, there are two primary ways COVID-19 is transmitted — touching a surface or object that has the virus on it and then touching your mouth, eyes or nose, or from droplets created by others who cough, sneeze, or even talk within 6 feet of you. It can survive on surfaces for a few hours or up to a few days, depending on variables like type of surface, temperature, and humidity.
Wash your hands fully and often. Scrub with soap and water for at least 20 seconds and rinse thoroughly with clean water. (Singing Happy Birthday to You twice takes 20 seconds.) Avoid touching your face with unwashed hands, particularly mouth, nose, and eyes.
