Roots Hold Us Close

One of the phrases in the favorite UU hymn Spirit of Life states that “roots hold us close.” Roots do indeed hold us, in many different ways.
Our roots and ancestry, our religious roots, and the literal roots of the trees that often fill our favorite lands. Our roots hold us and give us meaning, and our beloved trees inspire us as well. Today we’ll celebrate our roots of many forms and this beloved UU hymn.
