What Does ‘Spiritual’ Mean?

UUSD’s Mission is (in part) “Nurture Spiritual Growth.” Our vision is “creating a spiritual community.” So “spiritual” is an important word for UUSD.

But what the word means, both in concept and in the living of it, is a challenging puzzle. We’ll wrestle with that puzzle a bit, aiming to deepen our understanding and to recognize the power that the word calls us into.
