The Teach a Person to Fish Society began with the question of how to form an interdependent network to connect our region’s abundant local natural resources with people who want to share their skills, intellect, labor, resources, and callings. The fruits of this “giving circle” benefit those who may be struggling and need a hand up. We hope that recipients will be inspired to take an active role in providing assistance to others in the future in order to nurture the growth of community. In today’s service, Teresa and Cass Ripley will share what they have learned so far in their pursuit to build a more united, resilient, and supportive community with The Teach a Person to Fish Society, https://taptfsociety.org, whose mission is “Sustainability Powered by Community.”
