10:00 a.m., “Personal Reflections on a Civil Rights Tour,” Don Peterson and UUSD Lay Leaders – Speakers:

Eight UUSD members and friends were fortunate to travel together in April for a Civil Rights Tour.

The group will share their experiences and personal reflections about the trip and its meaning in today’s troubled times.

They visited Atlanta, Montgomery, Selma, and Birmingham, touring such important sites as the Legacy Museum and Memorial for Peace and Justice, the Dexter Avenue King Memorial Baptist Church and the 16th Street Baptist Church, the Edmund Pettus Bridge, the Civil Rights Institute, and so much more.

UUSD requires that only vaccinated individuals (who are eligible to be vaccinated against COVID) attend in-person services. On the day of the service, if you have a fever or are feeling ill, please stay home and enjoy our livestream service. Click here to register for the morning in-person service. Masks are not required but certainly an option for those who choose to wear one. On the Sundays when the Children’s Faith Exploration program takes place in the Gathering Area, everyone must be masked to enter that space because some of our younger children are not yet eligible for vaccinations.
