Why a Common Read?

Every year the UUA offers a book as a Common Read, such as this year’s Breathe: A Letter to My Sons by Imani Perry.
One factor for selection is that UUs will find it compelling. There are other reasons a particular book is chosen. Today’s service considers what the reasons are and why joining in with the Common Read each year helps us grow in faith together.
