A Deeper Dive into Julian and the Power of Love

Medieval mystic of the High Middle Ages, Julian of Norwich, experienced the love of “Mother Christ” in a series of visions when she was close to death from illness at the age of thirty. She was comforted throughout the rest of her life, into her seventies, by this love and her deep connection with God as love.
Julian developed a sense of existential trust in a life that included one of the worst pandemics in recorded history, after she heard Jesus tell her, “…and all shall be well, all manner of thing (sic) shall be well.” What are some of the deep experiences in our lives that allow us to feel embraced by such love as a prelude for trust and faith in our wellbeing?
