The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn and James: A Novel by Percival Everett, which is a brilliant, action-packed reimagining of The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, both harrowing and darkly humorous, told from the enslaved Jim’s point of view. *Due to the Jan 6th storm, we’ll be discussing both books at our February meeting.

What Stars Are Made Of: The Life of Cecilia Payne-Gaposchkin by Donovan Moore
The history of science is replete with women getting little notice for their groundbreaking discoveries. Cecilia Payne-Gaposchkin, a tireless innovator, who correctly theorized the substance of stars, was one of them.
