Welcome to the Unitarian Universalists of Southern Delaware (UUSD). If you are a first-time inquirer, curious about Unitarian Universalism and our congregation and looking for a faith community, we invite you to visit us. Perhaps you are a lifetime Unitarian Universalist (UU) re-locating to Southern Delaware. Whatever leads you here, we’re glad you’re here.

If you are looking to meet people to connect with who support your values, you’ll find our UUSD congregation is an inviting, warm and accepting place open to you. The people who make up our congregation are from a wide range of ages, races, life experiences, faiths, orientations, and places.

In our Sunday worship services, we provide comfort, encouragement, inspiration and joy, as vibrantly expressed in our music and choir. Children’s religious education, adult classes, men’s covenant group, and neighborhood covenant groups foster and strengthen our faith and connections. We also offer many community activities such as dinners, a book discussion group, First Friday Film night discussions and more.

You will find us involved in social justice issues—helping the economically disadvantaged, supporting environmental sustainability and women’s rights, ending racial discrimination, and advancing issues vital to our gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgendered and questioning communities. Clearly, the care and concerns of UUSD do not stop at its doors.

Reading our newsletter, Beacon at the Beach, is a good way to learn more about us, our members, what’s important to us, opportunities for service, our programs, and our activities.
