With the gutting of the Civil Rights Act of 1965, Stand Your Own Ground, and the continued misogynists in local, state, and federal congresses, the idea of any kind of civil rights seems archaic, almost nonexistent. Jim Crow laws are re-appearing, especially in the south. It seems as though the fight for civil justice and equanimity has merely been at a loll. Rev. Smith speaks to how we might best reapproach the fight, or the struggle.
