UUSD and all Unitarian Universalist congregations offer membership as a path to support each person’s growth and connection, to be part of our community of caring and accepting members, and to support our church. We encourage anyone interested in becoming a member to attend a New UU information class which explores what it means to be a Unitarian Universalist, our UUSD community and organization, membership, and gives you a chance to examine your own personal stories in the light of our rich tradition and heritage. Our Membership Committee hosts a warm, welcoming and delicious Newcomers’ Luncheon three times a year. You are also invited to talk to our minister to discuss our faith and answer your questions.

If you make a decision to become a Member, you will be invited to participate in a brief New Member ceremony that takes place during a Sunday morning worship service. While not an official requirement for membership, this is an important ritual that allows the congregation to welcome you and honor your decision to become a member of our church.

If you wish to become a member, the Membership Book can be signed at any time. Signing the Membership Book is the formal act that signifies you are a member. Just let a Board member, a Membership Committee member, or our minister know that you wish to sign the book.
